Snakes

On Socotra there are one species of Typhlopidae, Typhlops socotranus, and three species of Leptotyphlopidae, Leptotyphlops filiformis, Leptotyphlops macrura and Leptotyphlops wilsoni, all endemic. Moreover, there are two colubrid snakes: Hemerophis socotrae and Ditypophis vivax, both endemic.
